Customer information is used for accurate processing of your order only. It is not shared with, nor sold to other companies. For your protection, we do not store credit card information.
We accept the following forms of payment:
Credit Card (VISA, MasterCard, American Express & Discover) PayPal Check mailed with your order details, or referencing an estimate number we've sent you. Wire Transfer ($20.00 fee applies) referencing an estimate number we've sent you. Purchase Order (signed/authorized as your organizations process dictates) may be e-mailed to support@SHIFTev.com, or faxed to (815)550-1168. Typically we allow 30 days for payment. If Payment is not received within 60 days of item(s) receipt, we will assess a 3.5% collections fee to cover extended credit interest, and collections efforts.
SHIPPING & FREIGHT POLICY
We ship same day as ordered when possible. Tracking number(s) are provided by email (if you provided us with one) when items ship. Some items are shipped direct from the distributor or manufacturer because it's the quickest and least expensive means of delivery to you, or due to size, weight, etc.,. If you wish to pick up your order at our shop location, indicate this in your order. If a back ordered (temporarily out of stock) item is holding up your order we may ship and invoice the available portion before, and separately from the rest. In the case of a Purchase Order, all packages and invoices will reference the appropriate PO#.
IMPORTANT FREIGHT NOTE:
Some items are too big and/or heavy for standard shipping services and must ship by freight. Some parts will require a pallet or special crate to do so. After it is prepared, our broker sources (from a variety of freight carriers) to get you the best rate at the time of shipment. Our web store can't do this for web orders. Products that require freight are marked with a statement referring you to this explanation of our process. If you require a freight estimate in advance, add the part(s) requiring freight to your shopping cart, plus any other parts you want included. Then check-out using the "Estimate" option (which won't bill you) and: indicate "freight quote wanted" in the comments section. list ONE of the following situations which most applies to your receiving address: "forklift available", "shipping dock available" or, "Lift-Gate-truck needed". *Incorrectly specifying your receiving capabilities will likely lead to additional charges and delays from the freight company.
After completing the check-out process (using the Estimate option) as described above, details will be sent to the e-mail address you entered, and to SHIFT EV. We will follow-up with the additional Freight cost estimate ASAP, so you can move forward with your order decisions. Freight estimates may also be requested by phone or e-mail. We'll ask the same questions as the on-line estimate process does.
Non US orders may be subject to import duties and taxes which are levied once your order reaches your country. You are responsible for charges for customs clearance. We have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies differ from country to country - contact your local customs office for further information. When ordering, you are considered the importer, and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you receive the goods. If you have a customs broker that you'd like to use, please let us know and we will provide that information to the shipping carrier. We cannot receive returned items due to refusal of Customer to pay their Duties and Customs Fees on Orders sent outside the USA.
We offer a diverse variety of products from many manufacturers and are happy to pass along their warranty where applicable. Warranty details may be listed in respective product description pages. For warranty details not listed, please contact us. In the rare instance where the manufacturer offers none, we guarantee products will be received free of defects and function as defined for 30 days. Of course we expect products to last longer, but this allows reasonable time for customers to check their products (and for us to address it if needed) within the returns policy timelines. We are not responsible for damage due to improper wiring or improper handling of products, and therefore warranty cases are subject to an inspection by our technical staff, and possibly that of the manufacturer. If making a warranty claim, please use our return policy.
CANCELLATION AND RETURN POLICY
Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of being submitted. Otherwise, one of the following applies:
1. Received package(s) which is/are damaged: Please immediately decline acceptance, so the shipper will return them to us without charging you. Otherwise, we can't make a claim with the carrier and we may not be able to honor a refund or credit. Contact us if you accepted a damaged package(s) to discuss options. 2. Received damaged item(s) in undamaged packaging: Within 60 days of the date the item(s) arrived (at the "ship to" address), follow the RMA# instructions below. 3. Item(s) failed within warranty period: Follow the RMA# instructions below. Note: If warranty coverage is not specified on the product packaging, documentation, or website description, you may send us an email requesting it. 4. Exchange of undamaged item(s): Follow the RMA# instructions below. If the RMA is approved, and after we receive and approve the item(s) and related packaging such as instructions, protective packaging, etc., is/are acceptable, a store credit equivalent to the returned item(s) will be applied to your account. 5. Refund request(s) returns: Follow the RMA# instructions below. If the RMA is approved, and after we receive and approve the item(s) and related packaging (such as instructions, protective packaging, etc., is/are acceptable) a restocking fee (17% of item purchase price) will be applied. The remainder will be refunded.
RMA# Instructions: Contact us and request a Return Materials Authorization (RMA) number and describe which return situation applies (from above). Based on the policy description above (or for reasons we deem appropriate) we reserve the right to refuse any return, apply a restocking fee, or refuse to refund or credit item(s) where our assessment deems appropriate. If an RMA is approved for your situation, we must receive the item(s) within 60 days from the original date that we shipped it to you.
DISCLAIMER AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
In no event shall SHIFT Electric Vehicles LLC be liable to anyone for any delays, inaccuracies, errors or omissions with respect to information or the transmission or delivery of all or any part thereof, for any damage arising therefrom or occasioned thereby, or for the results obtained from the use of the materials or information. The entire risk as to the quality and performance of materials, parts, manuals, etc. and the accuracy, adequacy, completeness, currentness, validity and quality of any Information is with the user. In no event will SHIFT Electric Vehicles LLC be liable to any party for any direct, indirect, special, punitive or consequential damages (including, but not limited to, damages for loss of business profits, business interruption,) or any other damages arising in any way out of the availability, use, reliance on, or inability to use any 'information' 'part' 'manual' or 'whole-good', even if SHIFT Electric Vehicles LLC shall have been advised of the possibility of such damages, and regardless of the form of action, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, or for any claim attributable to errors, omissions, or other inaccuracies in, or destructive properties of any materials, parts, manuals, whole-goods, information etc.
